The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, located in Shinjuku, was completed in 1991. It consists of 3 structures, each of which takes up an entire city block. Building number 1 is 48 stories tall, reaching a total of 243 meters into the sky. It offers a free observation deck on the 45th floor where you can see an amazing view of Tokyo and even glimpse Mount Fuji in the distance.
The Mori Tower located in Roppongi is another place where you can get an amazing view of Tokyo. It was completed in 2003 and is the fifth tallest building in Tokyo. It reaches 238 meters into the sky and has observation decks on the 52nd and 54th floors. From the Mori Tower you can get a great view of the Eiffel tower-inspired Tokyo Tower, as well as the rest of the city.
