After Hammarby’s goalless draw with Örgryte on Saturday it was Djurgården’s turn to christen in the new arena as they played IFK Norrköping on Sunday. Spirits were high as most fans expected not only to score the first goal in the venue but also come out with a victory. Unfortunately it all went very wrong for them.
Imad Khalili took the honors of scoring the first goal at Tele2 Arena when he put Norrköping ahead after just four minutes. Djurgården was able to draw level within 10 minutes when their captain Andreas Johansson scored from the penalty spot. Unfortunately they couldn’t turn the result to their advantage missing several chances. The visitors then scored again after 70 minutes and took home the 3 points.
