Djurgården came out on top in yesterday’s derby match against Hammarby IF picking up a 3-1 victory. Their first derby victory against Hammarby since 2007.
For Hammarby it’s an especially tough loss to swallow. They are in second place chasing the other Stockholm team AIK. What was a 2 point gap became a 5 point gap after this loss. This means that there is the possibility they go into their derby match against AIK in a situation where a victory would still not see them overtake AIK and move into first place.
