It’s been an incredible Allsvenskan season for Stockholm with all three teams doing really well. Djurgården is leading Allsvenskan and has done so for most of the season. AIK has followed closely behind hoping to overcome them. Hammarby has also done really well keeping themselves in the top 6 for most of the season.

This has made for some exciting derby games as we pull into the final stretch of the season. Yesterday’s game being no exception. AIK needed a win to maintain their 2nd place position, one point behind Djurgården. While Hammarby needed a win to remain 6 points behind them.

Unfortunately for AIK they were completely outclassed by Hammarby yesterday. Vladimir Rodic scored two goals for them, while Karol Mets scored for AIK.

As the table stands today Djurgården is in first place with 53 points, Malmö second with 50 points, AIK third with 49 points, and Hammarby 4th with 47 points. Djurgården and Hammarby will meet in two weeks, the final derby match for the year and it will definitely be a match not to be missed.
