I was back at Tele2 Arena this afternoon photographing the match between Djurgården and Halmstad. Djurgården which is currently sitting in second place, ten points behind Malmö, has been one of the best teams in the league this year. It’s a shame that the gap with Malmö is a very wide 10 point one because they really deserve the chance to play the remainder of the season with the belief that their destiny is in their hands.
Next week is the derby match away to AIK at Friends Arena and another opportunity for Djurgården to try and exercise their derby ghost and pick up their first derby win in several years. At the same time AIK is right behind them in 3rd place with just one point separating them and will be looking to defeat Djurgården take 2nd place and continue chasing after Malmö.
This has all the makings of a great derby match
