Covering concerts for a photo agency can be tricky business. Some artists are so big they have their own photographers and refuse access to other photographers. Some musicians will only accredit photographers who are on assignment for a local newspapers. And others come with restrictive contracts attempting to claim the rights over images taking of them.
When I heard Metallica was coming to perform two shows at the Ericsson Globe Arena I was worried that they would most certainly fall into one of those categories and that I would end up not covering the show. Luckily though they were pretty relaxed with the rules and I got to cover the show for Getty Images.
These are from the second show that was held on the May 7th and now holds the attendance record at the Ericsson Globe with 17,303 people having attended the show.
