Last week I had the great privilege of photographing Sweden’s national mens football team taking the official portraits for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament. It’s very similar to the portraits I did of FC Rosengård for UEFA back in the spring, that job was a trial run for this one.
We did it at Friends Arena over two days as the team trained. The portraits were meant to be shot close up with a 24-70 lens but COVID restrictions made it so I could not be closer than 3 meters to the players, even though I took daily tests and wore a mask at all times. So all of these are shot on a 70-200 lens with the original lighting setup modified slightly to accommodate for it.
