Benjamin Ingrosso has won this year’s Melodifestivalen and will represent Sweden in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Once again I covered the grand final of Melodifestivalen for Getty Images as there is always a good amount of international interest around the Eurovision candidates.
Benjamin competed in last year’s Melodifestivalen but did not win the contest. He returned this year and won with his song “Dance You Off.”
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Lisbon. I was fortunate and got to spend a week in Ukraine covering last year’s Eurovision Song Contest for Getty, this year the honor will pass to one of my colleagues in Portugal.
